We are in the 70s, the era of the first installations and the beginning of the conceptual and expressive turning point of art, when VENINI begins to experiment with the Balloton technique for the creation of the homonymous vase.
The master glassmaker uses a unique metal mold that features small pyramid-shaped spikes around the inner surface of its circle.
The glass completely fills the voids of the mold during the blowing process, giving the finished product a distinctive optical impression known as cross relief.
