Askos
Angelo Mangiarotti designed the Askos carafe in 1986, inspired by the shape of small amphorae used for oils and ointments in ancient Greek vase art, and it has been produced exclusively for Poltrona Frau since 2018.
It has a striking sculptural presence, which is emphasized by the satin finish and etching on its curved surfaces.
Instead, the finish on the base and upper thickness of the glass is transparent, creating a contrast between glossy and opaque parts.
The handle’s ergonomic shape allows for a secure and comfortable grip.
