Carrara District

5 dimensions, one single place.

Marble, Design, art, training, and hospitality coexist in the heart of Carrara in a unique ecosystem dedicated to architects, interior designers, developers, and end clients.

The Carrara District was created to connect skills, materials, products, and professionals, transforming the visit into a true working day on the project.

The goal is the “One Day Meeting”: concentrating in a single hub what would normally require multiple stages, interlocutors, and different moments, allowing professionals and clients to optimize their time and concretely advance their project within a single day.

Discover. Explore. Meet. Learn. Connect.

Five dimensions. One single District.

01 — DISCOVER

The project takes shape.

The journey starts with design.

Inside the Carrara District, the Interni now gathers a selection of the most important international brands and supports clients and professionals in the development of residential, contract, hospitality, and yacht projects, thanks to the technical expertise developed over more than 40 years of experience.

Not just a simple showroom, but an operational place where you can select furniture, materials, and finishes, and transform ideas into concrete solutions.

Alongside, the Poltrona Frau flagship store recounts the excellence of Made in Italy through iconic collections and craftsmanship, with a particular focus on the nautical world.

Seeing a product displayed is only the first step. The true goal is to understand how to develop an interior project.

02 — EXPLORE

The material becomes experience.

From design, we move to material.

The District hosts a path of over a kilometer through galleries dedicated to blocks and slabs, where architects and designers can observe marble in real scale, compare veins and shades, and immediately imagine its application.

Here, marble is not simply shown through a sample.

Along the path, the material also enters into a dialogue with art through sculptures, installations, and works by internationally renowned artists such as Kengo Kuma, Tincolini, and Cino Zucchi.

The result is an experience where marble transcends the dimension of a simple material and becomes culture, expression, and project.

03 — MEET

A restaurant dedicated to the District

A project is also born from conversations.

For this reason, inside the Carrara District, the Extra restaurant allows you to naturally continue the meeting without changing location. The visit to the showrooms can continue at the table, transforming lunch into a moment of more informal discussion, yet equally important for the development of the project.

It is the opportunity to review choices in a different setting, share new ideas, and define the next steps together, maintaining continuity between the different moments of the day.

This is also the value of the One Day Meeting: reducing interruptions, optimizing travel, and letting the day follow the natural rhythm of the project.

04 — LEARN

FUM Academy, the Academy of marble.

In Carrara, marble is not just a material to be extracted and transformed.

It is a heritage of knowledge, techniques, and culture to be understood, shared, and passed on.

The FUM Academy is the space in the Carrara District dedicated to training, with masters, workshops, and activities aimed at international students, architects, and professionals.

Thanks to the collaboration with YACademy of Bologna, the District hosts lessons and moments of discussion with professionals from some of the most important international studios, including Herzog & De Meuron, David Chipperfield Architects and Zaha Hadid Architects.

A place where knowledge linked to the territory is taught applied to the new visions of contemporary architecture, transforming the material into knowledge and project culture.

05 — EXPERIENCE THE DISTRICT

Experiences that go beyond the project

The spaces of the Carrara District become surprising scenarios for bespoke events, meetings, and experiences.

Design, marble, art, and architecture become part of the experience, creating a unique backdrop capable of enhancing every occasion for exclusive events linked to the world of design and fashion.

The journey also continues beyond the District.

A few minutes away are the Carrara marble quarries, which can be visited through guided tours that allow you to discover firsthand the place where the material is born.

The experience can also continue in the marble processing workshops, where robotic technologies and latest-generation machinery, such as 5 and 6-axis cutters, tell the most innovative side of a centuries-old tradition.
