With Interni now, Franchi Umberto Marmi, and YACademy, a new high-level educational path for architects from around the world
With the launch of FUM Academy, the international architecture school born from the collaboration between Interni now, Franchi Umberto Marmi and YACademy Bologna, the Spiritual Architecture master’s program has officially begun. This educational path is dedicated to designing spaces capable of evoking deep emotions and spiritual connections.

The program welcomed 16 young international architects for two immersive days in Carrara. After a welcome coffee break, the participants took part in an exclusive tour of the Marble & Design District, led by architect Davide Biselli, Project Manager at Interni now: an immersive journey through workshops, showrooms, and companies where marble is shaped—from raw blocks to finished design objects and pure art. The visit concluded with a unique experience in the quarry, exploring the material at its very source.
The second day marked the beginning of the workshop and educational activities with architect Nicholas Bewick, who gave a lecture on the theme “Product Design: Sacred Objects”, followed by a workshop in which students developed concepts inspired by marble as a spiritual and symbolic material. They then had the opportunity to translate their ideas onto paper, turning inspiration into concrete and refined proposals.
With this initiative, Interni now reaffirms its commitment to excellence in education and the global promotion of Made in Italy design. Marble is an extraordinary material—rich in beauty, history, and identity. Yet it is only through thoughtful design that it can express its full potential. With FUM Academy, Interni now continues to give shape and meaning to this unique stone, enhancing it through culture, education, and creativity.
