This 3-storey apartment is part of an old colonial area of Shanghai, called French concession. The project was submitted in 2015, after 6 months of design development due to a strong reinforcement of the building’s structure.
The main characteristic of this building is to be composed by tiny but very bright spaces. The stairs are the focal point of the home and our team wanted to highlight them by using light materials and transparent details. This was the best design solution to embed the stairs with the kitchen on the first floor and the living room on the second, both designed as open spaces.
The kitchen is a Boffi one and it defines the space with an impactful island paired with local modern art pieces and design masterpieces. Finally, on the third floor is located the night-area, furnished with a wonderful round shape bed by Redaelli and a jacuzzi bath beside it.
